Cheerfulness is the quality that we like. The one who possesses it becomes like a magnet of goodwill. We strive to attain measure of this quality. Cheerfulness is the mother of clarity & conviction.
Cheerfulness comes from a sense of well being & contentment. It is an elevated quality but it doesn’t always stay with us. Many circumstances come & steal our happiness & joy. We make mistake, we worry, become agitated & sorrowful. Thoughts of envy & jealousy, anger & hatred enter the mind & our cheerfulness vanishes.
To find cheerfulness & inner contentment, all we have to do is focus on good qualities we see in others & leave the bad qualities aside. When we see bad qualities, then we retain all the rubbish & the defects of others poison ourselves and our intellect. Why harbor negative thoughts? The results of these, causes undue sorrow & again we lose our cheerfulness. Thoughts are the source of our actions. When we focus on good qualities, our thoughts will be pure & our actions will be elevated, bringing with them the result of great joy, contentment, happiness & a face of cheerfulness. Cheerfulness makes everyone love us because they can sense our victory ahead, but it is not a cold victory, alone, because the foothold for others to follow is the mud on our boots.
