Hypertension which is also referred to as High blood pressure, is a common disorder in which blood pressure remains abnormally high (a reading of 140/90 mm Hg or greater). Accelerated hypertension is associated with headache, somnolence, confusion, visual disturbances, and nausea and vomiting (hypertensive encephalopathy).
