Sharp Corporation, Japan had developed a personal electrocardiograph that can capture data during a heart attack and store the data on an IC (Integrated Circuit) memory for later analysis.

It would be an invaluable aid to people having heart disease. It can easily be attached to a heart patient and the patient can carry out his or her work as usual without much inconvenience.

The personal electrocardiograph data which is recorded every two minutes may be used to provide updates on the heart’s functioning.

Medical personnel can quickly assess the situation by looking at the LCD (Liquid Crystals Display) display screen in the cardiography.

The data stored on the IC can be loaded into and analog electrocardiograph or desktop computer system for further analysis and data archival.
